Misleading title date – this was the Cleaning Team back on the 1st, but I have put us in our normal Monday slot.
This week there were 8 of us and it was time to reach the parts Mondays don’t reach, all in rake 1. So I started on the checker plate floor in the RBr.

I only got to just beyond the heater when the knees said “enough”! Plenty more to do and even a second go here if there is time.
Elsewhere Kath, Roger C and Val were toothbrushing RBr aluminium window frames, John was thoroughly cleaning toilets, Steve on luggage racks, Nigel deep cleaning a carriage and our Paul on outsides. As you saw from Dave’s post Paul from C&W was also working here so a lot done on this rake.
Just before leaving we had a look at the Usk hut and surroundings – looks excellent. Will be a nice spot for visitors when complete, but will the permanent shadow from the van spoil the grass?
