Reports are starting to appear indicating a major rail accident at Inverleigh in regional Victoria. Invereligh is a location on the standard gauge railway line between North Geelong and Maroona and carries large amounts of freight between Adelaide/Perth and Western Victoria into Melbourne.
Details of the incident are still patchy but it is believed the train involved in the incident could be the SCT 7922V service between Horsham and Melbourne.
The incident has been recorded as being at the level crossing in Inverleigh where it is reported the SCT service has collided with a car on the level crossing.
