  1. Why don’t we push for extension of frankston line to reach Mornington as well as upgrades to Stony point for full electrification. Pretty sure Stony Point is a key link to Phillip island, the line has been neglected for years with stupid crazy figures for unnecessary duplication.

    1. I knew there’d be a way of weaving a serve to the state government in this. Why not accuse the premier of being the arsonist?

        1. FG all I see is the state is broke and you can’t get blood from a stone…..

From my observation keep concentrate on the project still in progress and defer other project in rail until Vic in better position to do so!

      1. The line has been poorly developed and has been a diesel service for years. It is clear to me at least you are ex government or current government. If you worked in transport hang your head in shame over the mess it is now.

It cannot be argued the stony point line should have been wired years ago and does not need to be a double track system.

    1. Brad, there is no No vision or ambition the decision makers as the pride of a country on mass rail transport asset shown on a world stage….we have none!

The road transport lobby groups and cyclist groups influences some government MPs decision on the rail system and some very anti rail…..what’s wrong with putting cycle lane next to rail line instead of ripping em up?

As for truck they still are needed for transport good around the rail freight distribution centres and ports in major cities….

But it at least the heavy freight good will be keep off the main roads and freeways….

whist overseas expands their line and upgrade their train we are down grading the service and it’s network….
