Queensland Rail to shutdown Brisbane rail network

Due to severe weather conditions brought by Tropical Cyclone Alfred, all SEQ train services will be suspended from last service tonight (Wednesday 5 March 2025), to ensure the safety of our customers, employees and the community.

Some of our long-distance services will also be impacted, and affected customers are being contacted directly. We have taken extensive precautions across the network, securing infrastructure and stabling trains in safe locations.

Our teams will safely begin any necessary repairs to restore services as quickly as possible. Please stay safe, follow official weather advice, and check our channels for the latest train updates. Thank you all for your understanding as we navigate this together.
