‘Planning work’ for $660m high-speed NSW rail link to begin

Four decades after it was first floated, the Albanese government has announced an update on a high-speed rail link that would take Sydneysiders to Newcastle in just one hour – but there’s a catch.

It is unclear how this project is in the best interests of Australia with the proposed investment many say would be better spent on a High Speed Rail Network between Sydney-Canberra-Melbourne rather than investing into a city people are leaving to move elsewhere.

This is not a national project it is a Sydney based boondoogle far from what a nation needs and also from a Prime Minister who has stopped listening to Australians.

  1. A slap in the face for all Australians. How entitled and out of Touch is albanese to waste this money on a rail link to very few when the country desperately needs the high speed service between Sydney and Melbourne.

Again proves albanese is unfit for office.
