ORR spokesperson: “ORR’s thoughts are with the driver’s family and friends and all those injured or affected by the recent rail collision at Elstow, Bedfordshire. As the independent safety regulator, we are working closely with RAIB, British Transport Police and the railway companies involved in this incident, as we undertake our separate investigation under health and safety legislation.”
