Germany has introduced the new [travel pass for just €9](https://www.bahn.com/en/offers/regional/9-euro-ticket-en) which is available across the country’s local buses, U-Bahns, S-Bahns, trams, as well as local and regional trains. \

Like many countries, Germany is facing a spiralling cost of living crisis thanks in part to the Russian invasion of Ukraine. The new pass is a response to high petrol costs. \
