A part of the investment of £4 billion in Scotland’s Railway between 2024 and 2029 has been used by the Scottish Government to create a new station at Hairmyres.
Trains between Gloucester and Chepstow returned to their usual schedule this morning (Saturday 17 May) after Network Rail completed five days of improvement and upgrade work.
In order to keep people off the tracks along the Durham Coast Line and the Bishop Line, Northern, Network Rail, and the British Transport Police have been working together.
