The National Railway Heritage Awards have declared the restoration of Richmond station in South West London the winner of their Railway Heritage Trust Conservation Award.
The Gresley Society Trust has announced that The National Lottery Heritage Fund has awarded it a “significant” grant to help fund its year of celebrations to mark next year’s 150th anniversary of Sir Nigel Gresley’s birth.
As part of Birmingham Heritage Week ballot, several people on tickets to be able to walk the 400 metre long tunnel which connects the Mailbox to Birmingham New Street.
The new railway facility in Doncaster is set to open in October.
