The U.S. Supreme Court unanimously rejected Ghislaine Maxwell’s appeal on Monday, upholding her 2021 conviction and 20-year sentence for recruiting underage girls for Jeffrey Epstein’s sexual abuse from 1994 to 2004.
Maxwell, 63, argued that Epstein’s 2007 non-prosecution agreement should have protected her from New York charges, but lower courts ruled it did not apply nationwide.
In a CNN interview, President Donald Trump stated he would review a potential pardon request for Maxwell, his former acquaintance, amid public criticism and demands to release Epstein’s files.
