Victorian Premier Jacinta Allan has announced the Metro Tunnel is set to open in December, after an array of delays and cost blowouts over the past decade.
3AW Drive host Jacqui Felgate weighed in on the state government’s announcement and says it’s a “blatant lie” to the people of Victoria.
“Stop with the spin, it’s pathetic, it’s a lie and it’s totally totally dishonest,” Felgate said on 3AW Drive.

“Tell us the truth, people aren’t stupid and you treat them like they are.”
“You’re not a news service premier, you’re the premier of course your information is exclusive, you’re the one who makes the rules, you’re the government.”
Nonetheless, the arrival of the new network will be a boon for Melbourne and the way we all get around and use the network. If anything we need more rail network built starting with the Suburban Rail Loop and adding the Metro Tunnel 2 between Newport and Clifton Hill and beyond.
