BGT series is undoubtedly the most competitive series in this modern era but please don’t put BGT on the same pedestal or rate it higher than Ashes.
It will never be bigger than the Ashes.
The Border–Gavaskar Trophy is a Test cricket series played between India and Australia. The series is named after distinguished former captains, Allan Border of Australia and Sunil Gavaskar of India. It typically takes place twice every four years; once in Australia and once in India.
Ashes Cricket has history, sentimental value and prestige for nearly 150 years. It should never be compared to BGT. BGT has it’s own history and significance.
