Publicly owned train operators take steps to improve accessibility

The Department for Transport has revealed how train operators in public ownership are improving the accessibility of their services.

Sunday’s Greater Anglia transfer means half of operators now publicly owned

This Sunday (12 October), Greater Anglia’s services will transfer into public ownership under Great British Railways (GBR). This will mean that half of Britain’s train operators will no longer be owned by private companies.

Disruption to East Midlands train services next Saturday

Engineering work next weekend will affect train services between Nottingham and Leicester, and some journeys to/from London St Pancras.
