Adelaide University Cancels Venue for Albanese Panel Over Procedure

Adelaide University pulled the plug on hosting a discussion titled ‘Settler colonialism: What it can tell us about the conflict in Israel/Palestine’ at Elder Hall, saying the booking skipped required reviews and approvals discovered late.

The event, featuring Albanese via video, historian Henry Reynolds, and Dr. Lana Tatour, moved to Norwood Concert Hall after selling out 650 tickets as part of the Constellations festival.

Organisers like Chris Sidoti decried the move as an attack on free speech, while Albanese turned it positive, noting a bigger audience ahead.
