Explained: Why The US Air Force Removed Its Height Requirement For Prospective Fighter Pilots

On May 13, 2022, the United States Air Force (USAF) removed its height requirement for future fighter pilots. A statement from the USAF said they were removing the restriction to encourage a more diverse group of applicants. While this is good news, there is no escaping from the fact that the USAF has a shortage of pilots and that removing the height requirements could boost recruitment.
