On May 14, 2025, the United States Department of Justice announced that it was planning on having large meetings with victims of the two Boeing 737 MAX crashes in 2018 and 2019 that resulted in the deaths of more than 340 people. The manufacturer faces a trial on June 23, according to reports from Reuters.
