On Tuesday, February 27, the Port of Seattle Commission announced that it has directed its staff to begin a specific set of inspections on nearby communities. The inspections will assess the effectiveness of previously installed noise insulation packages. The noise insulation packages were federally funded in the 1980s to reduce noise from the nearby Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA).
