Raleigh-Durham Airport Sets New August Record

In 2019, Raleigh-Durham International Airport handled 14.2 million passengers. In 2023, the number of passengers increased to 14.5 million, but in the intervening years, it handled 4.9 million in 2020, 8.8 million in 2021 and 11.8 million in 2022. Sixteen airlines operate more than 350 flights daily, and in August, 1.4 million travelers passed through the airport, a new record for August.
