Construction workers to shut down CBD in second major CFMEU rally

Tens of thousands of construction workers are set to walk off government Big Build sites next week in a another major CFMEU solidarity rally — the second in the past month.

Domestic flights near full to bursting, says ACCC

In its latest Domestic Airline Competition report, the consumer watchdog found flights on services between metropolitan cities were 90.4 per cent full in November 2024, the highest since January 2019, when the ACCC’s data began.

Flight BA16 from Sydney to London via Singapore, operated by the 787-9 G-ZBKL, turned around over central western NSW less than an hour into the flight after a pilot made a mayday call due to what was initially reported as a suspected fuel leak.
