Big increase in V/Line train journeys at Ararat

PATRONAGE on the Ararat passenger railway line has increased dramatically.

As soon as I was settled in BZN252 they got the train out the platform very promptly!

Usual reason was train fault, as it was confirmed via various source at Southern Cross.

This site through its contributors has for some time now provided a blow by blow assessment of V/Line.

Now in writing V/Line top management is making changes to rolling stock to the commuter urban rail units.

The Border Rail Action Group has called for the introduction of extra carriages on north-east line trains.

This is by no means the first time V/Line has suffered such an incident on the Network.

A carriage detaching from a V/Line train has closed two lines between Seymour and Southern Cross station, sparking major delays.

The issue has caused major delays on the Seymour and Shepparton Lines.

There will also be some minor changes to the Bairnsdale Line timetable as well as changes to some coach services that connect with trains.
