Developers have unveiled a bold plan for a $7.5bn satellite city near Murray Bridge, and are hopeful the area could become home to Adelaide’s second airport.
Adelaide Airport’s main terminal has been evacuated following a security breach, causing flight delays and major disruptions as passengers are re-screened.
The average Australian worker spends more than an hour a day stuck in rush-hour traffic, fighting for a seat on the bus or trying to zone out on the train.
“To get us out of our expensive, polluting cars, governments need to centre shared and active transport in all transport and land-use planning,” Rayner said.
