Accessibility improvement project get underway at Derbyshire railway station

The Derbyshire station is set to see two new lifts attached to its current footbridge as part of the multi-million-pound project.

Network Rail and steel fabrication company M&S are working together to deliver improved accessibility at three stations in Scotland.

Work to install the superstructure of a new footbridge and lifts at Dumfries station in southern Scotland was completed yesterday, Sunday, 14 April.

While carrying out work in connection with an Access for All’ upgrade at Walkden station, engineers discovered some historic mine shafts.
