Melbourne Rally Demands End to Mass Immigration Amid One Nation Surge

Protesters gathered on Sunday calling for lower net overseas migration, with banners reading ‘Save the nation. Stop immigration,’ as part of a national tour of similar events.

The rally came alongside Newspoll data showing One Nation at 28% federally ahead of Labor’s 27%, though the party’s Melbourne candidate Matthew Collins resigned over resurfaced posts dismissing sexual consent as ‘cringe.’

Tensions peaked when police arrested one person after an alleged Nazi salute and clash, while organisers stressed policy concerns ahead of Victoria’s November 28 state election.
