The event will take place at Surfers Paradise from 14-16 August 2026, and follows extensive beach remediation efforts by Gold Coast Council to repair the massive erosion from the cyclone that scuppered its planned August 2025 dates.
The 19th Dubai Airshow, held at Al Maktoum International Airport in Dubai from 17 to 21 November, is a crucial defence and aerospace industry event targeting markets across North Africa, the Middle East and south Asia.
Bennet and Graham are expected to be the only Australians to take to the skies at the event, using their Wolf Pitts S1-11X and WolfPitts S1S aircraft in front of more than a million expected spectators.
Held at RAAF Base Richmond over the weekend, the event attracted around 80,000 people, and featured both static and aerial displays such as the F-35A Lightning II, F/A-18F Super Hornet, E-7A Wedgetail, P-8 Poseidon, and 100 Squadron’s heritage aircraft.
The Airshow will take place over the weekend of 27 and 28 September 2025 with gates open at 9am and flying displays to be conducted from 11am to 4.30pm. Tickets officially went on sale on August 13.
Bennet is appearing at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh in Wisconsin, which runs from 21 to 27 July this year and regularly attracts more than 600,000 people and 10,000 aircraft. He will perform in Paul Bennet Airshows’ signature Wolf Pitts Pro.
Speaking to Australian Aviation, Kevin Elliott, Code Four CEO and director of the airshow, said the team had considered other options to hold the event after beach erosion scuppered its normal venue of Surfers Paradise, but found them all lacking.
The event, originally scheduled for 15 to 17 August 2025, has been axed for this year, as efforts to repair the beach at Surfers Paradise following the cyclone have been hampered by recurring king tides with accompanying large swells.
The three-day event will run from 15 to 17 August in Surfers Paradise, and will this year include a new STEM Zone for younger attendees alongside the aerial displays and ground entertainment.
