Research by Thrifty Traveler has found that American Airlines and United Airlines are continuing to charge solo flyers more for their tickets on certain flights than those traveling in groups of two or more. While the trend is not ubiquitous, it is widespread enough to raise alarm bells, particularly when, according to Thrifty Traveler’s research, Alaska Airlines, Delta Air Lines, and Southwest Airlines do not do so.
