Shortly after Fly Baghdad was sanctioned by the United States (US) government, the Iraqi prime minister ordered the airline to suspend operations. Left without any choice, the private Iraqi low-cost carrier announced that it would stop operating flights in order to comply with the Iraqi government’s decision.
