The Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning is a stealth multirole combat aircraft manufactured for air superiority and strike missions. The first variant of the fighter jet, the F-35A, performed its maiden flight back in December 2006, and the type was eventually introduced by the United States Air Force (USAF) in August of 2016.
