Greater Anglia has completed a £10,000 lighting upgrade at Harlow Town station’s multi-storey car park.
The works form part of the train operator’s ongoing commitment to improving passenger facilities and enhancing safety and security across its network.
The project saw ageing floodlights replaced with new, energy-efficient LED fittings. Engineers also carried out essential upgrades to the car park’s cable management system, helping to reduce the risk of faults and maintain a safe, well-lit environment for customers during the hours of darkness.
The new LED lights use significantly less energy than the fittings they replaced, reducing running costs and supporting Greater Anglia’s wider sustainability goals.
The project was delivered by Greater Anglia as part of GBR Anglia, the integrated railway bringing together c2c, Greater Anglia and Network Rail Anglia as the region moves towards Great British Railways.

“This £10,000 investment provides a safer and more secure environment for everyone, whether they are catching an early train, returning late in the evening or travelling during the winter months.
“Upgrading the cable infrastructure at the same time will also help ensure the car park remains reliably well lit for customers for years to come.”
