Railway Benefit Fund (RBF) has proudly announced that its Auction of Rail Experiences is back for 2026.
The auction returns with a fresh lineup of experiences, including cab rides, behind-the-scenes access, and much more. Whether bidders have followed railways their whole lives or are just beginning to take an interest, RBF say there is something for everyone. Every bid placed goes directly towards supporting railway workers and their families who are going through difficult times.
This year, with the support of the UK rail industry and everyone who takes part, RBF is confident it can reach its target of £25,000 to support more of the Railway Family when they need it most.
Highlights from the Auction:
New lots are being added throughout the auction, so bidders are encouraged to check back regularly. Experiences on offer include:
- Cab Ride on the most scenic Aberdeen to Inverness line with ScotRail.
- Lunch Journey for 2 on the legendary British Pullman, A Belmond Train.
- Temple Mills Depot, St Pancras International and Simulator with Eurostar.
Speaking about the auction, Suzy Powell, head of Fundraising at RBF, said: “We started this auction because we wanted to do something a bit different, to give people access to experiences they couldn’t get anywhere else, while raising money for railway colleagues who need our help. The response every year reminds us why we do it. We’re hugely grateful to everyone who donates an experience and everyone who bids.”
New experiences will continue to be added throughout the auction, and supporters are encouraged to check back often. With the virtual gavel coming down in just a few weeks, organisers are urging bidders not to leave it too late.
