While the US Navy heavily relies on the Boeing F/A-18 Super Hornet, it no longer relies on the F/A-18 Legacy Hornet; those have been retired. Meanwhile, the US Marine Corps is in the process of phasing its Legacy Hornets out and replacing them all with F-35B/Cs. The Marines will soon abandon the F/A-18 family for good, while the Navy will continue to rely on it into the 2040s.
