Apparently, the Lockheed F-117 Nighthawks are unretired in the US Air Force as it plans to have the stealth jets certified for aerial refueling from KC-46 Pegasus tankers. The low radar signature of the F-117 Nighthawk helps with US Air Force exercises, so keeping the aircraft aerially refueled is vital.

Headed for Tokyo, the crew turned the jet around, diverting back to SFO.
