TheBoeing 757 has had something of a circular lifespan. After cutting its teeth on short-haul and domestic routes, the advent of ETOPS regulations meant that it could be used on longer transatlantic services, a niche that it enjoyed carving out for many years. Now, however, it has largely been replaced on these routes by newer narrowbodies, and, therefore, has returned to its previous role as a domestic and short-haul workhorse.
