The Qatar Airways Qsuite has become somewhat of an aviation cheat code, one which industry analysts and premium reviewers are quick to talk up. On paper, the cabin is a business class product, but it often feels more like a private room than a seat. The catch is that one does not purchase Qsuite the way one might purchase WiFi or extra legroom. In fact, they upgrade to Business Class on a flight scheduled with Qsuite, and the price of that upgrade is incredibly variable. It jumps with route length, seasonality, demand, fare rules, and how many premium seats Qatar still expects to be able to sell at full price.
