Easter Weekend Meltdown: Over 5,500 US Flights Delayed As Storms Batter Major Hubs

Major airports across the United States have been under severe operational strain over the Easter travel rush, with over 5,600 delays recorded nationwide on Saturday adding to more than 15,000 delays across Thursday and Friday. A volatile blend of storms and peak holiday capacity saw hubs like Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL), Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD), Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) and Houston George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) each experience hundreds of cancellations and delays.
