Gunman Targets Melbourne Homes with Automatic Weapon in Suspected Gang Attacks

A gunman fired about 20 rounds at a Broadmeadows residence and 15 more at a Hadfield home in Melbourne’s northern suburbs just before 1 a.m. on Saturday, using an illegal automatic weapon that jammed initially.

Victoria Police connect the incidents to organised crime amid a 20% rise in gun offences linked to drug and smuggling feuds, with no injuries but residents left terrified.

Investigations continue as similar attacks occur in Sydney, raising concerns over illegal firearms.
