Much has changed at SAS since Dutch national Anko van der Werff became CEO in 2021. Among many other things, it entered US Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection, is going through Swedish reorganization, is about to leave Star Alliance for SkyTeam, and has obtained 19.9% in equity from Air France-KLM amid broader ownership changes. It aims to become a leaner, meaner fighting force which is needed.
