The 45-year-old man was originally stopped by Australian Border Force for a baggage examination at Perth International Airport on September 29. ABF personnel had also identified that the man was allegedly behaving suspiciously on his arrival.
The men, at least two of whom appear to have worked for Qantas subsidiary Jets Transport Express, attempted to bring 100kg of cocaine with an estimated street value of $40 million into the country on a cargo flight from Johannesburg.
