Sleepless in Clifton Hill: New level crossing bells keep residents wide awake

Residents say their lives have become hellish after Metro Trains installed new warning bells at a Clifton Hill rail crossing. Some are even moving out.

The new level crossing bells and or horn (if that is the right term) have been installed on some parts of the network and a much much louder than they need to be. You need to reach a car at the crossing or planning on crossing not the residents 600m away.

Clifton Hill has been in the wars this year. With the derailment of the train at Clifton Hill and the repeated longer term closures of the Hurstbridge Line it seems business as usual for Metro.

Nothing works when it comes to Metro Trains.
