The Airspace Complications Surrounding EVA Air’s European Routes

Airlines may be unable to fly over certain areas of the world for political or geographical reasons. EVA Air is just one example, with the Taiwanese carrier's flights to Europe not being able to take the most direct route due to the airline's inability to overfly much of the Chinese mainland.
