Airbus is one of the world’s largest commercial aircraft manufacturers. The company has been the world’s leading helicopter manufacturer, but as of the late 2010s, Airbus surpassed Boeing as the world’s biggest manufacturer of airliners. Since the company was founded in 1970, Airbus has introduced a wide variety of airliners. This includes the company’s first aircraft, the A300, which was the world’s first widebody to be powered by only two engines.
