Airbus is one of the largest commercial aircraft manufacturers in the world. The company has been the world’s leading helicopter manufacturer, but as of the late 2010s, Airbus surpassed Boeing as the world’s biggest manufacturer of airliners. Airbus was first founded in 1970, over 50 years ago. Since then, the company has introduced a wide variety of airliners, including the company’s first aircraft, the A300, which was the world’s first widebody jet powered by only two engines.
