The big three American carriers are big fans of the transatlantic market to Europe. This is no surprise: it is generally the most lucrative and is a reliable market. American Airlines,United Airlines and Delta Air Lines have all grown their presence to/from Europe over the last few years and, in some cases, reduced long-haul capacity elsewhere. A lot of the scheduled flights to Europe from these airlines are operated by widebodies. However, narrowbody planes such as the Boeing 757 and Boeing 737 MAX also play a significant role in optimizing seats on new and existing routes.
