Why The US Air Force Secretly Flew Soviet MiG Combat Jets During The Cold War

During the Cold War, the United States operated a range of Soviet fighter jets procured in secret for an operation known as Project Constant Peg. These fighter jets were used to train American pilots, although exactly how some were procured remains confidential. The program was part of lessons learned from Vietnam and continued until 1990 as the Cold War ended.
