4iG to acquire MVNO Netfone, announces IT unit merger

A consortium led by Xavier Niel-owned investment company NJJ Holding completed the acquisition of Ukrainian operator Lifecell from Turkcell for US$524.3 million, with aims to merge it with fixed telecom and pay TV provider Datagroup-Voila.

Connectivity solutions provider iBASIS announced it was selected as Caribbean-based operator Paradise Mobile’s international gateway partner.

Telefónica has reportedly appointed investment bank Citi to advise on the sale of its Chilean unit, as the group continues to scale back its presence in Latin America.
