Boeing’s 737-900ER, which is capable of flying an extended range when compared to the 737-900, has limitations on the airports it can arrive and depart from, due it its longer takeoff roll requirements, and the need to have a reduced climb to higher altitudes. The aircraft is the same size as the -900 variant, but with an extra pair of exit doors, it can carry an additional 26 passengers in a single-class layout.
