A joint team of Air Force Global Strike Command Airmen and Navy aircrew have successfully launched a Minuteman III intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) via the Airborne Launch Control System (ALCS) onboard a US Navy E-6B Mercury. The test launch took place from Vandenberg Space Force Base, California, to demonstrate the capabilities of the ALCS system, and also involved three test warheads carried by the ICBM.

On the first day of the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) hearings related to the Alaska Airlines Boeing 737 MAX 9 door plug blowout, Boeings representatives said that the company would redesign the door plug to prevent another occurrence from ever taking place.Elizabeth Lund, the senior vice president of Quality of Boeing Commercial Airplanes, said during the hearing that her company was designing changes to the mid-exit door plug, changes which the plane maker aimed to introduce soon.
