Donald Trump announces new travel ban on visitors from 12 countries

Donald Trump has announced a new travel ban for people from 12 nations looking to enter the United States.

The president also declared heightened travel restrictions on seven nations, with all 19 countries “determined to pose a very high risk” to the national security of the US.

The countries include Afghanistan, Myanmar, Chad, the Republic of the Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Haiti, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and Yemen.
