Unfortunately, the country's air force is somewhat run down and in desperate need of modernization. A glance at Argentina's fighter jets is all that's needed to know the fleet is obsolete. As of March 2024, it appears that after decades of vetoes and failed starts, Argentina is finally about to receive new fighters for its air force.
