Italy is one of the most important transatlantic aviation markets for the United States, with the two countries sharing close historical and cultural ties. As such, there are many different air routes that connect the two nations, with a new one having commenced recently when United Airlines operated its first flight between Denver and Rome. Its aircraft of choice was the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner twinjet.
