The CAC/PAC JF-17 Thunder or FC-1 Xiaolong (Fierce Dragon), is a lightweight, single-engine, multirole combat aircraft developed jointly by the Pakistan Aeronautical Complex (PAC) and Chengdu Aircraft Corporation (CAC) of China. In the late 1980s, the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) was looking for a new fourth-generation multirole combat aircraft to replace the following aircraft.
